Hazel played a major offensive role, securing the precinct by coating the building in greenery. She managed to fend off younger members of the bat-fam, with the assistance of of Thorn. Despite their success, and because of Bane’s failure they were forced to split apart and go dark, awaiting a chance to make their next move.

Following their previous antics Hazel gained a kinship with killer croc, from this she gained a safe space below in the Gotham sewers that she managed to turn into an underground garden. Small cracks in the foundation which allowed sunlight through left he structure weakened. As fragments of Mars came crashing into the Earth’s surface portions that rained in Gotham caused the place to fold in, the wreckage killing Hazel. Upon reaching Old Olympus, Ivy ( now equipped with a Star Sapphire ring ) uncovered Hecate’s temple, the home of her branding iron. The immense power of the Crone aspect nearly succeeded in tearing Thorn asunder if it hadn’t been for Rose & Hazel’s selfless sacrifices in the eleventh hour.

After the revival of Rose and Hazel from Gourmet world’s soils Rose’s body could hardly stabilize, to make her whole once more she was branded with the witchmark extending Hecate’s powers to her as well. In fairness Hazel was dawned with it as well

Mutations that occurred within this event left Hazel infused with Martian (DC Comics based) DNA. Rather than taking the cure like most have done Hazel decided to keep these added powers, using the shape shifting ability to keep her natural shape.
